ABOUT
An Alternate story in which Clair is not dead, and instead washes ashore several months later as a mermaid with few memories of her human life after being irrevocably altered by a mysterious eldritch sea creature. Untroubled by the complexities of her past identity, Clair has embraced the base desires of her new form.
After being instinctively drawn hundreds of miles back to her home shores in Cornwall, she is discovered by Rene and Salim months after the human Clair had been assumed dead. Driven only by vague memories of their importance to her in life, she shows her love for them the only way she now knows-- with monstrous devotion. For Rene, this is an unexpected delight. For Salim (who wouldn't have had a physical relationship with Clair any other way in life) things are a little more complicated...
The Merfolk Reproductive Cycle
The lifecycle of merfolk. An eldritch creature captures human hosts found drowning or near death at sea and converts them to serve its purposes. Once transformed, they have few memories of their human life and are driven only by a powerful aphrodesiac that drives them to procreate with their own kind or humans. The eggs, once matured and released into the ocean, hatch into numerous small creatures who gradually make their way to deeper water, where very few survive the maturation process.
